the questions to settle before the first cut

Which course should I start with if I am new to brows?

Most newcomers begin with the foundations of brow design, skin and pigment behaviour before specialising. The Eyebrow Tattoo Course is built around those foundations. If you already know which finish you want to offer, tell us when you enquire and we can talk through the best fit.

What is the difference between hair-stroke and shaded brows?

Hair-stroke work imitates individual hairs, whether made by hand tool in the Microblading Course and Feathering Course, or by machine in the Nano Brows Course. Shaded brows build soft density from fine dots, as taught in the Powder Brows Course and the gradient-led Ombre Brows Course.

Can I learn strokes and shading together?

Yes. The Combination Brows Course covers blending hair strokes at the front of the brow with shading through the body and tail. Artists who already work with brows and want to refine their results can look at Advanced Eyebrow Tattoo Training.

and the practice behind the work

Do I need beauty experience to enrol?

Entry requirements differ between courses. Foundation training is designed for people building brow skills from the ground up, while advanced training assumes you already work with brows. The simplest way to confirm the fit for your background is to describe your experience in an enquiry.

Are there local rules for working as a cosmetic tattoo artist?

Requirements for skin penetration and cosmetic tattoo work can vary between Australian states, territories and local councils. Check with the relevant authority where you plan to practise. Our guide on how to become a cosmetic tattoo artist explains where this fits in your path.

How does practice work fit into training?

Confident brows are built through repetition: mapping, stroke or shading drills, then careful refinement. Brow mapping comes before any pigment, so it is worth reading Brow Mapping: Measure Before You Mark. Genuine academy results are collected in the Student Work Gallery.

How do I enquire about a course?

Send your questions through Enquire / Enrol. Mention the course you are considering and your current experience so the conversation starts in the right place. General questions can also go through the contact page.

Where can I find course dates, fees and inclusions?

Current details for each course are confirmed directly with you when you enquire, so you receive information that applies to the intake you are interested in. Ask about format, schedule, fees and what is provided in the same message.

Who teaches the courses?

Meet the team and their teaching approach on Our Trainers, and read about the academy’s philosophy on About Eyebrow Tattoo Courses Australia.
