Powder Brows Course

shade laid in passes, never in one stroke

Professional training in soft, powder-finish brows: mapping the shape, building tone dot by dot with a machine, and finishing a brow that looks filled in, not drawn on.

A beauty practitioner uses thread to shape and map a reclining client’s eyebrow.

II — THE FITTING · TECHNIQUES TAUGHT

Build the shade

in patient passes

A powder brow looks simple and is anything but. The softness comes from thousands of small implantation points placed with even spacing, controlled depth and a steady hand speed. Rush a pass and the result turns patchy; press harder and the colour can blur.

This course teaches shading as a layered craft, so you learn to judge saturation by eye and to stop at the right moment.

Map the frame

Measure start, arch and tail against the face before any pigment touches skin. Our brow mapping guide explains why this comes first.

Stipple the first pass

Pixel and stippling work lays a light, open veil of dots. Hand speed and needle angle set the density, so these movements are drilled until they become consistent.

Layer for tone

Further passes build depth where the brow needs weight and stay lighter at the front, keeping the finish soft instead of blocky.

Read colour and skin

General principles of pigment choice, undertone and how different skin types hold colour, so your shade choice fits the person in front of you.

IV — STRUCTURE AND FORMAT

How it is taught

The course moves in the order a real appointment does: theory and hygiene, consultation and skin assessment, mapping, then shading technique. Students observe demonstrations, practise stippling and layering, and refine their work with trainer feedback.

Current duration, format, what’s included and dates are confirmed when you enquire, so the details you plan around are always up to date.

V — TRAINERS AND STUDENT WORK

Guided by trainers

Shading is taught hand to hand, with close correction of angle, speed and saturation. Learn how our trainers approach teaching on Our Trainers.
Genuine, consented student work is published in the Student Work Gallery as it is added.

Powder brows

questions answered
More answers on the course FAQ, or ask us directly through Contact.

Do I need stroke training before learning powder brows?

Prior brow experience may help, but it isn’t assumed. Share your background when you enquire and we’ll discuss which course fits.

How is powder different from ombre?

Both are built from stippled shade. Powder keeps an even soft fill, while ombre grades deliberately from light to dark. The shading comparison guide covers both.

Will I learn about pigments?

Yes. The course covers general colour principles, including undertone, skin tone and how shade choice affects the healed look.

Where do I find duration and inclusions?

These are confirmed with you when you enquire or enrol.
